Competition Terms and Conditions
The following are the official rules for all ArchTriumph Competitions (the "Competition"):

Organisation and Administration
Architecture Competitions on the ArchTriumph website are organised and administered by Vertadis Limited trading as ArchTriumph ("Organiser"). ArchTriumph reserves the right to assign any judges, agents or other authorised administrator to administer it's competitions, including making any decision or exercising such at it's discretion.

The Competition
Where a Competition is divided into two stages:
The first stage of the Competition shall consist of a design proposal based on the entrant's topic selection from any of the stage 1 categories as set out in Archtriumph website.
The second stage of the Competition shall consist of a second design proposal based on the flagship Competition Topic as set out in the Archtriumph website

ArchTriumph competitions are open to anyone aged 18 or over on day of registration. Younger entrants or group of students under 18 years of age must be lead by someone aged 18 or their tutor 18 or over.

By entering ArchTriumph Competitions, all entrants, participants and submissions agree in full to these Terms and Conditions and as referred "herein".

Employees of the Organiser, employees of Jury and anyone involved in the analysis or preparation of the brief - as well as their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling, child, and spouse of any of the foregoing) and those living in their immediate households, whether or not related- are not eligible and prohibited from entering the Competition or to win a prize.

In the case of the participation of a team in the Competition, a team leader must be chosen to serve as the design team's legal representative.

Where it is a two stage competition, only competitors selectedfrom the first stage are eligible for the second stage Competition. A competitor in the second stage may change the professionals or individuals with whom they collaborated in the first stage competition.

Documentary evidence of the architect's or team leader's right to practice the profession in their respective country or that of residence for certain competition may be requested.

Binding Agreement
In order to enter the Competition, each entrant ("you") must agree to these terms and conditions, which form the Official Rules and together with the Entry Form made available to registered users on the ArchTriumph website at

If you a minor you must obtain the permission of a parent and/or legal guardian and your parent and/or legal guardian must also agree to these Rules on their and your behalf before you can enter any Competition which you are eligible. Please read these terms and conditions carefully prior to entry to ensure that you understand and agree. You agree that submission of an entry in the Competition constitutes agreement to these Rules.

You must agree to these terms and conditions prior to submitting an entry to the Competition, in order to be eligible to receive the prizes described in these Rules. These Rules form a binding legal agreement between you and Organiser with respect to the Competition. You must have access to the Internet and a valid e- mail address in order to enter the Competition.

Entry Period
The Competition entry period begins and ends as specified by the Schedule as detailed in the Competition brief and website (the "Entry Period") Competition Language The Competition language is English and as such, all entries must be in English.

Competition Queries
Any explanations or supplementary information can be requested using the contact form available through the Archtriumph website at with the subject "Competition Query Competition Topic" and must be sent within the question deadline as specified in the Competition Schedule herein, on the website or within the brief.

Distribution of the Competition Documentation
All the competition documentation will be available in digital format for download for registered users from the ArchTriumph website at

Entrants may either make a submission individually or as a team and must be submitted anonymously. All submitted with the unique registration number at the top right corner of the design board.

In order to be eligible for any specified Award / Prize, all project proposals must be uploaded onto the ArchTriumph website within the deadline set and to upload your entry proposal you must create an ArchTriumph Account.

Competition entrant are prohibited from sale, assignment or transfer of any of their submission rights a third party.

Student entrants would be required to proof their status for any student only competitions and the same would be true for professional only competitions should the submission be selected as one of the winning entrants.

All Submission must strictly conform to any Terms and Conditions and the Rules and Guidelines set by our (ArchTriumph) Competition Brief.

By entering the competition, the Entrant acknowledges and accepts that all aspects of any submission narrative, description, details, images, illustration and animation may be used for publicity purposes by (ArchTriumph).

Entrants will have the opportunity to upload one (1) image for Stage 1 and up to two (2) images for Stage 2 in jpg format onto the ArchTriumph webisite using the upload facility available to registered users.

You are allowed to upload your panels and edit them on the ArchTriumph website at until the submission deadline as specified in these rules.

A written description of your design will help our panel or jury and the visitors to the Competition website to understand your thought process and your design.

Submission Receipt
A submission receipt with the date of submission might not always be sent by Archriumph. We advice you to print the successfully upload screen during the submission process onto the Archtriumph website through you registered account as receipt of submission.

Post- Competition Assignment
If the organiser commissions a winning author to design, develop and work on any build project such as the planned ArchTriumph Triumph Pavilion, and the author of the winning entry does not have the necessary experience or resources to manage the project, it will be developed by the author together with a more experienced professional chosen by the organiser in consultation with the winning author.

Personal Information
ArchTriumph will only used where neccessay, disclosed to third parties for the purposes of running the competition, any personal information submitted by entrants or participants

Ownership & Copyright
The ownership of copyright in the work of all submissions will be in accordance with the Copyright and Patent Act 1988, which implies the copyright rests with the author.

No Entrants or participants shall receive or be entitled to receive any payment in any form for submissions or for granting ArchTriumph any right herein, other than for being selected as one of the winning competition entries.

Subject to any limitation herein, any design, drawings accompanying any entry or submission remains the property of the entrant and may be used for its or their own purpose.

(ArchTriumph) shall treat an entry or submission as being eligible to enter the Competition under United Kingdom Copyright law.

Entrants are solely responsible for protecting the intellectual property of any submission to ArchTriumph competitions.

Competition Disqualification
Submission which do not meet or comply with the submission guidelines or found to contain identifying sign or mark that may, in any way, contribute to identifying entrant shall be disqualified and (ArchTriumph) shall be under no obligation to notify the Entrant or Participant of the disqualified entry or submission. All Submissions after the closing date for a particular competition will be automatically disqualified.

Competition Cancellation/Withdrawal
ArchTriumph reserves the right to cancel or suspend or alter the rules at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control. Any competition category or competition with less than 25 entries or as specified in any rules change release / notification may be deemed void.

Any Compensation will be handled by ArchTriumph.

Judging Criteria and guildelines will be as follows:
Overall architectural vision
The relationship of the design to the built or natural environment around it:
- How the architecture design relate to the physical location chosen.
- How the design is placed on the physical site.
Innovative design:
- How the design organises space
Thoughtful use of materials:
- Choice of materials
- How the materials enhances the design
Adherence to the Competition specifications
Quality of the Execution model and Presentation:
Well- built models that visually represent your design ideas will catch the eye of the judges.
Practical and also hyper- dream ideas are welcome. However, The judges will take into account whether the design could actually be build physically in the real life even if it will be a challenge to achieve. The weight of these criteria is at the discretion of the Judging Panel and ArchTriumph and project (projects, topic, submission).

Winner Selection/Judge's Decision
The decisions of Organiser and the panel of judges in selecting the winners from the submitted entries and in all matters relating to the Competition are final and binding.

In the event that a selected winning entry cannot accept, receive or ineligible for the prize for any reason, the prize shall be awarded to the next highest rated entry from the top short- listed or remaining entries that meet the winning requirement.

ArchTriumph association with any of the competition judges do not imply any legal association, affiliation, contract or partnership in any way shape or form.

Approval of the Competition Brief
This brief has been drawn up in accordance with ArchTriumph "Competition Rules" and comply with the boards agreed format. These rules apply unless otherwise stipulated in the brief.

The brief and any appendices have been approved by ArchTriumph in- house team who are responsible for implementation of the competition without input from members of the jury. Unless, stated otherwise, the brief has been checked and approved to comply with ArchTriumph Competition Rules for the competition.

Publication and Book
The winning design and identity of the winners may be published on the Archtriumph website located at and in various sponsors websites as stated herein.
The winners will be notified by email and in writing by certified mail no later than 15 days after the judges decision as specified in the timetable detail within these rules.

Archtriumph does not publish or promote projects that have not been selected by the judges or at any stage as winners or Triumphant mentions.

The selected winning projects may be published in the planned Triumph of Archtecture + Design Series which should be available internationally on without further notification to winners.

Project Publication
Entrants (Winners and non- winners) to the ArchTriumph competition may not publish their entry design based on ArchTriumph topic to a third party website, portals, blogs without prior agreement with ArchTriumph. However, this does not affect you ownership of copyright of the design in accordance with the Copyright and Patent Act 1988.

Media Distribution
Entrants are prohibited from sending projects relating to the Competition Topics set by Archtriumph to any of its media sponsors for publication (before and after) without ArchTriumph written consent and in the case of other magazine press, blogs or websites before the official Result announce for publication. All such distribution must mention ArchTriumph as the competition which the project relates, not just the topic or title. However, this does not affect you ownership of copyright of the design in accordance with the Copyright and Patent Act 1988.

Competition Integrity
ArchTriumph undertakes to scrupulously protect the integrity of its competitions by:
- Assigning each entry a Unique Registration Number (URN) by which each submission received will be administered organized, processed and evaluated. This means that the digital image received will be stored in a folder under their registration numbers, with the complementary information kept in a separate data file.
- Enforcing the rules that besides the Unique Registration Number, all illustrations or images accompanying any submission shall be devoid of any marks, logos, symbol or sign that may identify its authority or source.
- Any infringement of these rules will lead to immediate disqualification.
- The jury or judging panel will only be made aware of the entrants identities only after the evaluation stage and the winners are selected.

ArchTriumph reserves the right to declare a 'NO CONTEST' for any competition category or competition where there are fewer than 25 entries as specified in any rules change release / notification relating to the competition.

Prizes awarded will be as advertised for each competition, however ArchTriumph reserves the right to add or award additional prizes.

Documentary evidence of the architect's or team leader's right to practice the profession their respective country or country of residence may be required before any awards payment is made to a recipient.

Photographic identity document such as passport will need to be provided to Archtriumph before any award payment will be made.

In the case of a studio or company, then the formal company registration documents will need to be supplied together with photographic identification of director or team leader.

All Bank account details into which any prize money is to be paid must match that of the registered individual or team leader or studio or company.

If the winner chooses not to accept the prize, an alternate winner will be chosen. All federal, state, and local taxes on the value of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Failure to return of any prize notification requested detail within the deadline date, may result in forfeit of the prize. Any winner or potential who cannot be contacted within fifteen (15) days of attempted first notification may result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize.


ArchTriumph reserves the right to publish such material in whole or in part, or use them in any way it sees fit in connection with this website or its competition without permission of the entrant or payment for such use, subject to the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998.

Registration Fee & Associated Cost
There is a registration fee for competitions on the website and all costs and disbursements incurred by entrants in preparing a submission or entry are the sole responsibility of the entrant.

All registration or submission fees are non- refundable and non- transferable once an entry is made.

These rules herein are governed by the laws of England and Wales. General Conditions: By participating in this Competition, you agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules, which will be posted on the Competition Web site at: and by the decisions of the Organiser and the judges, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Competition.

By participating in this Competition, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the third party resource links or specific products / tools which may be mentioned in the Competition brief.

Publicity and Promotion
By submitting a entry, you grant to Organiser, their affiliates and their respective successors and assigns, the right, except where prohibited by law, to use your name, likeness, city and county, biographical information, and Submission materials for all purposes, including, but not limited to, press and media communications, without further compensation to you. You also agree to participate in any media or promotional activity regarding the Competition. If you are a winner, you agree that the Organiser may use your name and likeness to administer and promote the Competition and to conduct media interviews and promotional events, and you hereby explicitly waive your rights of privacy and publicity under applicable law.

Winners also agree to and shall upon request at reasonable notice, participate in any Publicity or promotional activity surrounding the Competition such as interviews, personally or otherwise. Each opportunity shall be taken on merit and the Entrant or participant, shall have the right to decline any such opportunity.

Any imposed government regulations or economic sanctions by the United Kingdom that prohibit monetary transfer to a Winner's country of residence shall result in the prize money shall not be awarded to the entrant and at ArchTriumph discretion may award it to the next highest ranked entry, however will mention the original winning entry in its list of winners.

By participating in this Competition, you agree that Organiser can collect your personal information, and that if Organiser cannot collect the required data, you may not be eligible to participate in the Competition. Any personal information collected during the course of the Competition by Organiser will only be used for administering this Competition and for other purposes as outlined in these Official Rules.

By submitting an entry to the competition, you the "Entrant" provide ArchTriumph with a limited, non- exclusive, sub- licensable, worldwide, royalty- free license (but not the obligation), which license is effective in perpetuity, for the duration of the competition / Project and until the end of the judging of the competition, to use, copy, modify, translate and/or adapt, distribute, publicly display by any means and in any media and create derivative works of, and copy, distribute and publicly display such derivative works of your entry solely in connection with the inclusion of your entry in activities related to, and the promotion of, the competition and the particular project, without any further notice or remuneration to you. The rights shall be applied to all existing or future media, and in particular all physical, optical, magnetic, analogical, digital and electronic media, including media such as hardcopies, CD- ROMs, DVD- ROMs, hard disks, computers and servers, the Internet, all private or public telecommunication networks, by cable, satellite, radio networks, etc.

By submitting your entry to the competition you also give ArchTriumph a non- exclusive, worldwide, royalty free, irrevocable license in perpetuity to display and archive your entry on the ArchTriumph websites, ("Website"), on ArchTriumph Facebook, Twitter or other social networking / media pages in relation to the competition or project. Any credits will be with the name you supply to the competition.

ArchTriumph shall make commercially reasonable efforts to display appropriate and customary credit lines on any Submission displayed or otherwise featured in such media, however shall have no affirmative duty to do so.

Entrant agrees to release, indemnify, defend any Party from any liability, any claim for damages, and/or law suit for or by reason of the mentioned Submission as a result of any submission, revision, alteration or similar thereof.

The Entrants also acknowledges and agrees and therefore covenants not to sue or make any claim against any Party related to an Entrant's Submission or any individual participation or involvement in the competition in any way whatsoever, or any use thereof, and therefore:

a. Under no circumstances shall or can the Entrant be entitled to any award for any loss or any damages, which include attorneys' fees.

b. Any dispute, claim and legal action arising from or connected with this Competition, or any prizes awarded or potentially awarded therein, shall be resolved without resort to any form of legal action or class action.
c. Should an Entrant choose to bring a claim against ArchTriumph or it's agents the Entrant shall pay the ArchTriumph or any Party's reasonable attorneys' fees and its legal costs arising from the claim should it fail.
d. Nothing herein will constitute a waiver of the entrants or participant legal rights or any rights any Party may have to take against the entrant or participant.

ArchTriumph shall not be liable for any law suit or claim against any of it's judges or selector panel emanating from their professional conduct or otherwise.

Unless clearly stated, all competitions are design concept only and do not imply in a way, an intention for the proposals to be constructed or built unless.

ArchTriumph reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.

Organiser reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant found to be
(1) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Competition;
(2) violating the Official Rules;
(3) violating the terms of service, conditions of use or general rules or guidelines of any Organiser or property or service; or
(4) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any false information provided within the context of the Competition by any entrant concerning identity, postal address, or ownership of rights in the Submission, and/or non- compliance with Official Rules may result in the immediate elimination of the entrant from the Competition. Organiser further reserves the right to disqualify any entry that it believes, in its sole discretion, infringes or violates the rights of any third party or otherwise does not comply with the Official Rules.


  • Organiser, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, trustees, employees, agents, successors and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") are not responsible for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operations or transmission. Released Parties are not responsible for theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of Competition materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind. Released Parties are not responsible for inaccurate transmissions of or failure to display Competition materials as a result of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. If for any reason the Internet portion of the Competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Competition, Released Parties reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition.

  • No Recourse to Judicial or Other Procedures: To the extent permitted by law, the rights to litigate, to seek injunctive relief or to any other recourse to judicial or any other procedure in case of disputes or claims resulting from or in connection with this Competition are hereby excluded, and you expressly waive any and all such rights.


  • Severability: If any provision(s) of these Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.

  • Entire Agreement: This binding agreement is the entire understanding between you and Organiser concerning the subject matter addressed herein and supersedes and replaces any previous understandings between the parties concerning the subject matter addressed in this binding agreement.

    We collect either directly from you when you register with our site or through Cookies which are information that are stored by your browser on your computer. Cookies are small text files that identify your computer to our server and enable us to enhance your visit and shopping experience with us. These cookies record information on viewed pages or adverts, frequency of visited pages and general navigation of our site. These cookies in no way allow us access to your computer and do not store any personal or payment details.

    The personal information collected is mainly used for competition submission administration and processing (In accordance to the competitions term & conditions).

    ArchTriumph will hold and use your personal data strictly in accordance with UK data protection legislation. We will comply with the Data Protection Acts 1984 and 1998.

    Updating your information
    You can update your personal information at any time by logging into your account on the site.

    Limitation of liability
    ArchTriumph disclaim any and all warranties or association of any kind (expressed or implied) in relation to the Competitions or product or services on this site.

    General Indemnity
    You agree to fully indemnify ArchTriumph from and against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, legal fees arising out of any breach of these conditions by you or any other liability arising out of your use of this site.

    Copyright Protection
    All registered trademarks, symbols, graphics, photographs or words are owned, protected and property of the respective copyright and trademark owners.

    Governing law
    These Terms and Conditions are governed by and in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
